North Carver glacier
North Carver glacier is the lower part of the glacier complex called Carver on the north side of South Sister. At one point these three glaciers were one glacier, but by the U.S.G.S. mapping in the 1950s, Carver had separated in to three glaciers, yet only one name was put on the map. The ice of North Carver glacier is mostly gone with a bit of stagnant ice remaining under snow that melted away in the summer of 2021.
