North Skinner glacier
North Skinner glacier is the lower part of the glacier complex called Skinner on the north side of South Sister. At one point these three glaciers were one glacier, but by the U.S.G.S. mapping in the 1950s, Skinner had separated in to three glaciers, yet only one name was put on the map. The ice of North Skinner glacier is still active and flowing but the glacier lacks an accumulation zone and it is only a matter of time before the glacier stagnates.
