We are happy to report a very productive September! Thanks to your support, OGI has been able to conduct glacier and snow cover field surveys in the Three Sisters, Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Hood! We will be finalizing snow area maps that relate to annual glacier health as the next winter's snow approaches, but, in general, the snow cover on Oregon's Cascade glaciers is near the highest, if not the highest, we've seen in the 2020s (and this is accounting for recent dustings of snow). While the glaciers will lose mass this year, it may be less than in recent years. More to come soon!
